Women with excess fat & hanging skin around the arms feel very uncomfortable wearing T-shirts and shirts with short sleeves. In addition, these women are reluctant in deciding to undergo surgery because of the incision in the inner side of the arms.
There is a new technique to solve the above problem. Mark Richards, plastic surgeon, describes 9 cases of patients between the age of 25-75 whom undergone brachioplasty with a much smaller incision.
The operation is undertaken under general anesthesia and the incision is done
under the armpit. The procedure can be combined with liposuction if needed.
